...Away and Back...
I have a place,
A secret place,
Where imagination comes alive
I walk along the river,
Past the big Oak tree,
Through the fallen timber,
And across the raging falls
I come to my place,
And step
Into the circle
The circle of dreams,
Of truths,
Of answers
I feel myself fly,
High and fast,
I fly away,
Away from here
From reality
I soar over mountains,
Rivers,
And oceans
I dive deep and fast,
Into the watery depths
I turn to see the dolphins
As they swim swiftly past,
Frolicking, playing
Chasing and all so happy,
Unaware of tragedies above
The memories nearly
Pull me back,
Back...
To the painful reality
I leap up,
And away from the waves,
Away from the sly memories
As they try to creep back
I soar back to the forests
Soaring high,
Oh, so high,
I peer down
And I fall
I fall,
Hurtling towards the earth
Plummeting, somehow gently
Back down to the dense treetops
I shut my eyes,
Enjoy the free feel,
The wind in my face
As I relax, I slow
Soon I find myself
On a cottony cloud
My dress, soaked,
The gauze barely stirred
By the slight wind flowing by
The damp pulls me down
Again, I tumble along
I rain down with the tears
Of the clouds
At last I lie
In a beautiful
Lush green pasture,
I lie on my back,
Staring up at the clouds
From whence I came
And the memories come,
Flooding back
As I close my eyes
To the tears of both me,
And the clouds
And I return,
Slowly,
Ever so slowly,
Back to reality
I fall into myself,
Back to my bed,
Back to the night,
Back to the silent tears
Flowing like a river down,
Down my cheeks
To pool on my pillow
I have come back,
Back from my fantasy world
My world of no memories
Of no suffering,
Of no tragedy
Back...
To what's real,
Back...
To reality

"do the day and let the day do you"
I think this is my favorite out of all of my poems right now lol
Perhaps because I just wrote it though.

Life isn't always about waiting for the storm to pass...
...Sometimes its about learning to dance in the rain."
I like that quote too. It's just so very true. (unfortunately)
