Soul of a Willow Tree
I close my eyes,
And reach for the door out with my mind,
I enter this exit,
And leave my body behind,
As my imagination soars away from me,
Unfolding my dreams before me.
Green grass grows out from my feet,
Colorful wild flowers pop up everywhere,
Painting colors over the rolling hills,
Trees grow from young to old,
All varieties of green leaves spring forth from now strong branches,
Adding welcoming shade from a deep blue sky.
Thick clouds billow out overhead, taking form,
Little tears rain down from forming thunderclouds,
I take shelter under the bows of a willow,
I listen to the sighs of the wind passing through the leaves,
The branches knit tightly, sheltering me from the falling rain.
I sit with my back pressed against the trunk,
I shut my eyes to listen more closely,
To the sorrowful sighs of the soul within this lonely tree;
She calls out for help,
Sighing, crying, screaming,
Her tears blending with the rain pouring down,
She holds her leaves and bows to herself,
Keeping warmth within her cooling grasp,
Ice slowly, painfully replaces warm sap,
The cold presses close against her protecting arms,
Pulling at the warmth within, bleeding it out,
She screams in frustration,
But no one can hear her,
No one can understand,
No one will help her.
I blend with her, feeling her pain,
I cry for her,
I open cuts to bleed with her,
I cry out that I can hear her,
I begin to loose my warmth along with her,
I tell her Im here,
I hug her close to my self,
I love her,
But she cannot her me,
She cannot, will not, accept the help,
So I feel her pain,
Her inner turmoil,
I cry with her,
And bleed with her,
And sit with her,
And hold her,
But I can do
Nothing
To help
Her.

It's interesting how you could put these two things together...
the beginning was very visual. i could easily have pictured the scene, your description was very well written
